Amya was raised in a single parent household, her parents split up when she was still very young. Throughout the years, Amya was inspired by her mother, who worked extremely hard to raise four kids by herself. Amya helped her mother by getting a job and making sure she was a stellar example for her younger siblings. Amya’s mother constantly encouraged her to work for her dreams and shoot for a higher goal. Amya did just that, obtaining her CNA and continuing in the Nursing career path with the help of the Do It Right Scholarship.
