Callie Stroud

Callie Stroud experienced her parents going through a divorce at a young age and wanted to stay with her father. Once she turned 18, she was able to do so without custody battles. When her dad was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, Callie did whatever she could to help with the bills. When she moved to Ruston for school, she traveled back to Alexandria constantly to take care of her sick dad. With the help of the Do It Right Scholarship, Callie no longer had to choose between school and her father. She now studies Practical Nursing at CLTCC right near her home.
