Alicia Brister is a resident of Elmer and graduate of Oak Hill High School and began the Practical Nursing Program at CLTCC in the 2016 Fall semester. Brister knew it would be difficult to attend school due to her financial situation at home, but once she was awarded the scholarship and the financial burden of school was lifted from her shoulders, she was overjoyed. “I am able to achieve my dream, which is honestly something I didn’t think I was going to be able to do. He’s allowing me to open a door to be the nurse I want to be.”
